Doc pothole to the Rescue

Published 05 July 2018

The Tooting Wonder Man

No-one can say that the work of a councillor is not varied. Take for example the Headland and Harbour ward. It covers a wide area and presents considerable challenges for those stoic enough to take them on.

Mundane problems such as the condition of the roads, parking restrictions and the general upkeep of the area. Also more controversial problems which seem to appear out of nowhere, such as the tenancy of the Middleton Cabin owners. All of which is enough to keep two of the Headland and Harbour's councillors busy.

Astonishingly,  all of these problems seem to have two things in common. The first is that they all seem to stem from the inability of the Labour Group and the HBC to consult with or consider the wishes of the people who are affected by them.

The second is “Doc Pothole” the Tooting Headland and Harbour Super Hero.

It doesn't matter how many hours, meetings, interviews or what effort they invest. The two councillors know that come the weekend they will be rewarded with a flying visit from Doc Pothole who will proclaim all their efforts as a “fait accompli”, courtesy of the Tooting Wonder Man and the Hartlepool Labour party.

So have no fear..... I hear he should be passing over Pontefract right about now.
